Thursday, April 14th, 2011We were watching the video taken when my dear brother proposed to his girlfriend. It was magical. Both of them were extremely happy and so much in love. There was even a funny moment when my brother could not find the ring and he was really anxious because Steff is about to come. Actually, it was a prank by his best friend because he kept in somewhere to make fun of my brother. It was hilarious!
So Steff was blind folded while going to the roof top of one building in Makati. There was a candle light dinner for them prepared by one of the expensive restaurants here, the Aristocrat’s. A choir was also there serenading the couple and I’m telling you it was one heck of an experience.
They had dinner. Steff was still clueless that my brother is about to ask her to marry him. She thought it was just another dinner because Jonathan (my brother) usually does that. After a while, he was telling her stuff about how they met and how he fell in love with her. It was like watching a romantic movie. Then mom started to cry even though he did not propose yet. After some time he got the ring. I was wondering how come the ring looked different. He said he chose to have faux wedding rings because like me, Steff is a practical type of woman.
Anyway he finally asked her. “Would you like to spend the rest of your life with a guy who is very much in love with you like me who is moody, naughty and loner?” That line made me cry and made mom cry more. It was really touching. Despite of my brother’s negative attitudes, she still said YES. It was one of the sweetest moments I have seen.
